little village game
little village game is an abstract strategy game for two players. it is inspired heavily by go and reversi.
the board is a grid of twelve concentric circles, each with eighteen points connected to four neighbours; two on the ring above, and two on the ring below.
there are two hundred and sixteen tokens, black on one side and white on the other.
the players take it in turns to place a token at any empty intersection on the board, with their colour facing up. black plays first.
an unbroken group of tokens of a single colour is called a village.
rule one: every village must have at least one open point adjacent to one of its member tokens.
rule two: if a player places a token so that an opponent village loses its last opening, the whole village must be flipped so that the tokens are of the captor's colour.
